Founder & Managing Partner

My very first interest in the stock market began in a high school economics class during the 2008 Great Recession. As the eldest of two children, I was born and raised in Novi, Michigan. To pursue my financial interests, I relocated to the suburbs of Chicago to attend a private university, Olivet Nazarene University.

While at Olivet, I double majored in finance and accounting where my financial interests developed into a passion in the personal finance industry. Continuing to build off this financial college education, this passion has driven me to pursue additional financial certifications in order to become a financial expert.

Experience & Expertise

Upon college graduation, my employment began in the investment department of a bank. Working at the bank provided an opportunity to gain valuable industry experience, while also achieving my security licenses.

In 2018, I obtained the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification. This certification has enabled me to provide the highest standard of excellence and professionalism in the industry.

Before founding BRJ Wealth Management in 2022, I helped start what became a top 5% producing advisory practice at LPL Financial among over 19,000 financial advisors nationwide. I was responsible for creating holistic strategies to meet the goals of over 200 individuals and families. I also led the investment management team where we oversaw $160 million assets under management of client portfolios.*

My “Why”

When I am not constructing financial plans, I love spending time with my beautiful family. My wife, Kelli, is an elementary school teacher and instructional coach. We have been married since the summer of 2016 and have two daughters, Kaia, who just turned two and most recently welcomed our second, Brecklyn, to our family in June 2023. The girls are such a joy to us and love to play alongside our French bulldog, Frank.

Outside of work, I try to get outdoors as much as possible- exploring community parks with the girls, playing sports, or being on the water. During the winter months, I continue my childhood hobby and skate weekly in an ice hockey league. Regardless of the season, I always enjoy trying new local spots for some good food with friends and family.
